The client seeks a consultant to deliver professional services focused on developing a comprehensive set of functional and technical requirements for the integration of multiple transit-related systems. These include both current systems (e.g., Computer Automated Dispatch (CAD), Hastus, Trapeze) and upcoming systems (e.g., Charge Management and Yard Management).
The objective is to guide future planning, procurement, and implementation of system interfaces supporting electric bus operations, transit yard workflows, data analytics, and enterprise reporting.
Kickoff meeting, work plan finalization, and scheduling.
Conduct 5–6 workshops and interviews across departments (IT, planning, ops, maintenance, finance).
Review existing workflows and completed RFI findings for Charge and Yard Management systems.
Draft detailed use cases and functional needs for:
Electric bus charging integration with dispatch systems
Yard management and vehicle maintenance
BI and analytics integration with asset management and scheduling systems
Define system integration specifications, data formats, security standards, and recommend a preferred system architecture.
Create data flow diagrams showing real-time and batch data exchanges across platforms.
Identify system or process gaps, suggest middleware, upgrades, or data management improvements. Prioritize integration efforts.
